Include the Nail Arrangement
Hole position, angle and the surrounding groove belong in the development brief. Send the intended horseshoe nail or its specification so the required fit has a clear reference.
Include nail seating and handling in your sample feedback, alongside the shoe dimensions.

Tooling and Production Have Different Cost Drivers
Develop the pattern
Drawing-based horseshoes require tooling. Mould and development charges depend on the complexity of the geometry you want to produce.
Define the production order
List material, sizes, quantities and packing separately. This gives the quotation a clear distinction between development work and the production shoes.
We confirm tooling costs and scheduling against your actual brief. Development, sample review, production and shipping are separate stages.

The UK project used two sample rounds. Customer farriers reviewed shaping behaviour, nail fit and practical fitting before the final version was approved.

Can you modify an existing horseshoe rather than develop a completely new pattern?
Yes. We can work from your drawing or reference sample and a defined change list. Our UK project retained a familiar pattern while adjusting the toe area and one heel. Your own changes are reviewed against the dimensions, material and nail arrangement you need.
Are mould and development costs included in the unit price?
We assess mould and development work separately from the production shoes. Drawing complexity affects that work, while the selected material, sizes, quantities and packing define the production order. The quotation should make both scopes clear.
Can you develop the shoe around the horseshoe nails I already buy?
We can review the intended nail alongside your shoe drawing or sample. Send its reference or a physical sample so hole position, seating and groove details can be considered together. The proposed combination still needs sample review; see our shoe and nail matching process.
