Horseshoes and Matching Nails for Bulk Supply

We manufacture both horseshoes and horseshoe nails in China. Bring the shoe pattern and intended nail into one supply discussion, with matching reviewed for the specific combination rather than assumed across the range.

Review the Geometry on Both Products

Horseshoe groove and nail holes with a separate nail lying beside the shoe

Nail-head dimensions, the shank, hole geometry and surrounding groove all belong in the matching discussion. A length label alone does not establish that a nail suits a particular shoe.

Send the Shoe and the Nail Together

A horseshoe and nail samples kept separately on two plain reference sheets

A physical shoe and nail give the discussion a concrete starting point. Include the versions your customers already use and describe the fit issue you want the new supply to address.

Keep each sample identified. Photographs are useful for the initial enquiry, but they do not replace a dimensional comparison or sample review.

A Small Head-Width Change Addressed a Specific Fit

The customer supplied two horseshoe types and three existing nail samples. During development, one nail head was slightly tight in the supplied shoe. We reduced that model’s head width by approximately 0.2 mm after reviewing the reference shoe.

This was a correction for one project and one nail specification, not a change to apply to every shoe-and-nail combination.

Evaluate the Combination with the Intended Shoes

In the same UAE project, the customer completed two sample rounds with local farriers. The review included head fit, driving, bending and cutting before production was approved.

The project illustrates the review process; it is not a performance guarantee for other models.

Keep the combination identifiable

Record the Two Versions as One Pairing

Record which nail reference was reviewed with each shoe reference. If the head, shank, hole or groove changes, revisit the combination rather than treating the new part as an isolated substitution.

Plan Two Quantity Schedules

Shoe and nail demand do not follow one fixed purchasing ratio. Allocate quantities separately by product and model, using your own sales and replacement needs.

Horseshoe schedule

Nail schedule

Model, length, version, piece quantity and box requirements.

Minimum quantities, packing and timing remain product- and model-specific. Coordinated sourcing does not turn both schedules into one combined minimum order.

Frequently asked questions

Paired Supply Questions

Keep compatibility and purchasing quantities clear when sourcing shoes and nails together.

Can I source nails for horseshoes I already purchase elsewhere?

Yes. We can use your existing horseshoe and nail samples as the starting point for a matching discussion. In our UAE project, customer-supplied shoes helped identify a nail-head adjustment. A new combination requires its own review rather than inheriting that project’s result.

Is nail length enough to confirm that a nail fits a shoe?

No. Head and shank dimensions must be considered with the shoe’s hole and groove geometry. Use the exact model references and review samples together; equal length alone does not establish compatibility.

Do horseshoes and nails share one order quantity or MOQ?

No fixed purchasing ratio or combined minimum applies across the two products. List shoes by pattern, size and ordering unit, and nails by model and piece quantity. Packing and minimum quantities remain product- and model-specific.

Send a Paired Supply Enquiry

Share the shoe patterns, nail references, fit concerns and separate quantities. Add packing, destination and any changes from your existing versions.

We can discuss the sample comparison and quotation with both sides of the combination in view. New pairings require their own review before you treat them as approved replacements.
